LemonGold® Drinks

Ingredients:

Virgin LemonGold Cocktail Cordial:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup caster sugar
  • ½ cup seedless LemonGold lemon juice
  • 1 seedless LemonGold lemon, sliced
  • 1 sprig rosemary
  • 6 juniper berries
  • Sparkling or soda water, to serve

Warming LemonGold Hot Toddy:

  • Tea bag of your choice (rooibos, honeybush or chai work well)
  • 2 slices fresh ginger
  • Juice of ½ seedless LemonGold lemon
  • 1 tsp honey (more if you prefer it sweeter)
  • 2 tsp whiskey or brandy (optional)

Easy LemonGold Gin Fizz:

  • 2 tbsp gin of your choice
  • 1 tbsp seedless LemonGold lemon juice
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 tbsp simple syrup
  • Sparkling water

Method:

For the cordial:

  1. Make a syrup by simmering the water and sugar together until dissolved.
  2. Add the LemonGold juice, lemon slices, rosemary and juniper berries. Simmer for 5 to 10 minutes, then cool.
  3. Mix 50 ml cordial with ice and sparkling water. Strain if preferred.

For the hot toddy:

  1. Add tea bag, ginger, LemonGold juice, honey and brandy to a pot. Top with boiling water and let it steep.
  2. Pour into mugs and enjoy warm.

For the gin fizz:

  1. Shake the gin, LemonGold juice, egg white, simple syrup and ice together.
  2. Pour into glasses. Add sparkling water and garnish with a curl of LemonGold peel.
